Julie is a Registered Acupuncturist who has completed her formal education in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Burnaby, B.C. Julie has a prior education in Health Science from UBC and Nautical Sciences from CBU - leading her to work as a Navigational Officer for the Canadian Coast Guard.

Julie works with a wide range of concerns including musculoskeletal pain, myofascial dysfunction, hormonal and digestive issues, and stress related conditions. She has completed training in concussion care and offers precise scar-mobilization techniques to support tissue mobility and function - including for C-Section scars - providing thoughtful support through all stages of pregnancy and post-partum recovery.

Julie’s treatment approach integrates both traditional Chinese medicine principles with contemporary, evidence-informed techniques. In TCM, the benefit of Acupuncture extends beyond the physical body to include Qi and Shen. By calming and supporting the Shen and allowing Qi to move smoothly throughout the body, Julie’s treatments work to restore balance across the nervous system, physical body, and emotional state.

Your initial treatment with Julie will include a thorough intake and assessment, followed by a complete Acupuncture treatment - which may incorporate Cupping, Gua Sea, and manual therapy techniques as clinically appropriate.

Julie draws from her experiences from travel, yoga Vipassana meditation, mountain trekking, rock climbing, as well as motherhood to shape her whole-body approach to care
